Terms and Conditions


Proper system design is required for reliable and safe operation of distributed control systems incorporating Control Solutions products. It is extremely important for the user and system designer to consider the effects of loss of power, loss of communications, and failure of components in the design of any monitoring or control application. This is especially important where the potential for property damage, personal injury, or loss of life may exist. By using any Control Solutions, Inc., product, the user has agreed to assume all risk and responsibility for proper system design as well as any consequence for improper system design. Under no circumstances shall any Control Solutions product be used for life safety or life support functions without prior written permission from an authorized executive of Control Solutions, Inc.

Warranty: All Control Solutions products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of time from date of shipment from factory as follows: Two years on non-mechanical parts, one year on mechanical parts (e.g. relays). Defective units will be repaired or replaced, at manufacturer’s discretion, at no cost to user except when negligence or improper use has resulted in damage. The express warranty stated herein is in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including without limitation any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose and all other warranties are hereby disclaimed and excluded by Control Solutions, Inc.

Configuration errors made by customer are not covered under warranty. Damage caused by incorrect electrical connection is not covered under warranty. Removing circuit boards from their enclosures will void the warranty – the complete product with all of its original circuit boards and components must be returned for warranty consideration.

The Monitoring Services provided by Control Solutions are provided “As Is” and “As Available” and Control Solutions does not make any representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability for fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Control Solutions makes no warranty that the Monitoring Services will be completely secure, error free, without interruptions, or meet subscribers requirements. The entire risk associated with the use of the Monitoring Services shall be borne solely by the subscriber.

Changes: Control Solutions reserves the right to make changes to documentation, product specifications, or products, without notice and at its discretion to correct errors in documentation or make improvements in products. Information on this web site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of fitness and merchantability for a particular purpose.

Online Ordering: Simply click on “Buy Online” where you see the item you wish to order. All standard stock items are available for online ordering. Contact sales@csimn.com if you do not see an online order button for the item you desire.

Telephone Orders: We no longer accept telephone orders. Updates in security measures (imposed by the credit card processors) do not allow us to take credit card orders via telephone. If you are unable to place your order online using a credit card at buy.csimn.com, you may mail your order and bank check for pre-payment.

PayPal Payment: Amounts under a threshold set by PayPal may be paid immediately through PayPal with a major credit card. Credit card payment or direct bank account transfer of larger amounts via PayPal may be made after your account has been verified by PayPal, which typically takes 2-3 days.

Credit Card Payment: Amounts up to your credit limit may be paid with a major credit card through the online credit card processing on the checkout page.

Wholesale: Wholesale pricing and quantity discounts are available to recognized system integrators, OEMs, value added resellers, service providers, and educational institutions. Register online and request via email to sales@csimn.com that your account be upgraded to wholesale status. Wholesale status applies to pricing only, and does not imply open credit. Additional credit information will be requested to establish an open account.

Note: Register prior to placing any order for which you expect to get wholesale pricing. We will not refund the difference on prior orders if you upgrade your account to wholesale later.

Terms: We accept online credit card payments via our secure server, or via PayPal. We also accept purchase orders on open accounts once established. Terms are net 30 days, without exception, on open accounts. Prices are US$ and FOB Company warehouse. Purchase orders submitted without prior account establishment will not be honored. Allow 2 weeks for processing of open credit application. Open credit is not granted to companies outside of North America.

Wire Transfer Payment: Control Solutions will accept wire transfers for purchases; however, the buyer must accept all responsibility for wire transfer fees. If you wish to avoid paying transfer fees, you should use a credit card instead.

When you make the transfer, it is IMPORTANT to instruct the bank that you want a transfer of ‘OUR’ type and not ‘SHA’ or ‘BEN’. This will ensure that the entire amount will reach us. Otherwise, some money will be lost because of bank transfer fees and you will have to make a second transfer in order to provide payment in full. Orders will not be shipped until payment in full is received.

Control Solutions will, when applicable, add a wire transfer fee to the invoiced purchase price such that the amount of funds actually received by Control Solutions equals the purchase price. Under no circumstances will Control Solutions accept responsibility for payment of bank transfer fees. If you do not wish to pay bank transfer fees, use a credit card instead.

To pay by wire transfer: Generate a Quote per instructions for generating a quote (which will not include wire transfer fees), forward that quote to Control Solutions, and wait for a final invoice (which will include applicable wire transfer fees) to be returned to you.

Security: Payments may be made through PayPal or through the X-Payments secure payment processing gateway integrated into our web site. Control Solutions web site is scanned regularly for security compliance. Credit card data is not maintained on our server. It is transmitted in encrypted form to the credit card processing gateway for payment.

When payments are made through PayPal, Control Solutions does not receive your credit card number. PayPal notifies us immediately when payment is received from you. There is no cost to you for using PayPal.

Price Changes: Prices are subject to change without notice except where governed by contract. Control Solutions makes every effort to control costs, but cost increases are sometimes beyond our control and necessitate price adjustment.

Shipping: Orders are shipped FOB St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. Orders must be received by Noon Central Time for same day shipping, subject to availability of inventory. We ship domestic and international via UPS. We do not ship via FedEx or DHL. If you require shipment by courier other than UPS, you need to arrange for a pickup once we notify you that your order is ready for pickup. Allow extra time for couriers other than UPS.

Shipping fees are entirely at the discretion of the courier. Control Solutions will not be held liable for discrepancies in couriers published rates, or availability of shipping options which change from time to time.

Special Instructions: Any special instructions provided by customer must be provided in English.

Customs: Customer is responsible for paying any applicable customs fees. Customs fees are beyond the control of Control Solutions. Customs fees are NOT included in standard shipping charges. You must pay customs in your country when you receive the shipment. Your order will not be refunded if you abandon the shipment due to you refusing to pay customs fees in your country. 

Refusal To Accept Shipment: Should you change your mind after purchase, please contact our customer service department immediately. We can cancel your order as long as you request cancellation prior to shipment. However, if your order has been shipped out, you will be responsible for all the shipping expenses (including the original shipping, handling charges, customs, and return postage). To return the product(s), you can refuse to accept the product(s) or contact our sales department for a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization).

Returns: If you are unsatisfied for any reason with a Control Solutions product, including does not fit your requirements, you may return it for a full refund of the product price paid up to 30 days past the date of the sale provided the product is returned undamaged and in like-new condition. Damage sustained in shipping should be brought to the attention of the shipper immediately upon receipt of shipment so that an insurance claim may be filed. Returns past 30 days are subject to a restocking fee. Returns for refund past 12 months may not be made. Shipping charges, customs, taxes, and other fees are not refundable. Remote monitoring devices are subject to the foregoing; however, prepaid monitoring service related to that device is only refundable on a prorated basis, and setup fees are not refundable.
